About Me.
I bring over six years of experience working with clients ranging from ages 3 to 80. My passion for helping others began during my college years at Florida International University, where I earned my B.A. in Psychology in 2014. During that time, I was actively involved in outreach work with young women—helping them build confidence, challenge negative self-beliefs, and embrace their worth. I enjoyed helping individuals become excited about their future and feeling better about themslves. This work sparked a pivotal question for me: “What profession could I have where I can do more of this?”

I’ve always been deeply curious about the human mind—how we think, feel, and interact with one another in different social contexts. I found it fascinating to learn how our experiences with family members and early relationships leave a lasting imprint on who we are—shaping our beliefs, behaviors, and self-perception, often without us even realizing it. I knew that by becoming a therapist, I could help individuals gain the insight they need to understand those “how’s” and “why’s,” empowering them to heal and grow.

I received my M.A. in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with a certification in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2019 from the University of South Florida. In the summer of 2021, I made the bold decision to relocate to Houston, Texas, seeking new opportunities. I’ve since worked in diverse settings including schools, hospitals, non-profit agencies, and group practices.

I desired to create a space of my own—one where I could guide clients in rediscovering and redefining who they are, building their inner self-worth, and transforming their thought processes in a safe and compassionate environment. That vision became reality in early 2023 when I launched Getting Rid Of Old Ways PLLC, a private practice dedicated to helping individuals step outside their comfort zone, embrace authenticity, and create a life rooted in self-love and mental stability.

Niche
I specialize in helping individuals rediscover who they are—emotionally, mentally, physically, and cognitively—by guiding them beyond the limits of their comfort zones into a space of intentional growth. My work centers on supporting individuals who are ready to seek more for themselves, face hard truths, and challenge the narratives they’ve carried about who they are, who they believe they should be, and how they think others see them. Together, we rebuild self-perception from the inside out, cultivating a deeper sense of authenticity, self-acceptance, self-love, and mental stability. Through this transformative process, individuals gain the clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom needed to live fully as their true selves.
